Edit Your Joomla CSS Like A Pro

I'm always looking for ways to be more efficient in everything I do. After all, time is our most valuable asset. So I am always on the web searching for tools that will help me increase my productivity.

We all know that most Joomla templates can be a really time consuming task to get them to look exactly the way we want them. Constantly tweaking them. Constantly bouncing back and forth after we make changes and forever getting aquainted with the perverbial refresh button on our browsers. And heaven forbid that you screw something up and can't remember what you did to screw it up in the first place and now have to debug everything to simply find what you did wrong.

Well I have to tell you about this handy little software product that a friend turned me onto.I used the free version for less than 30 minutes before I went back to the website and purchased the full version because I IMMEDIATELY realized the value of adding this to my arsenal of software applications.

Now normally I don't just write blog posts for no reason. I feel that my articles must add value to my readers. But I was so greatful to my friend for turning me onto this software that I couldn't wait any longer to tell you about this and pass it along because I know this will save you time and money.

The software is called Stylizer. It lets you design CSS layouts in real-time right on a browser, without any loss in control. It's much faster and more intuitive than using an external editor like Notepad or Dreamweaver.

Watch these videos to get an idea of what it can do for you.

Now here's the cool part. IT'S FREE! But I strongly recommend getting the Ultimate Version for only $79 USD because it has so many more advanced features.

You can visit the  Skybound website for more information.

I hope you like it as much as I do. Feel free to post a comment below and let me know if it helped you be more productive.

There are more than a few ways, but here is what I have done:

1) use eXtplorer - the file management extension component for Joomla!

2) download the CSS file in question, edit locally using Notepad ++ and the FTP it back up using FireFTP for Firefox (or any other FTP app, such as FileZilla)

But what I normally do when doing a lot of edits/changes/trial & error, just work on it locally using a local Joomla! install, then when all is the way I want, FTP up the file(s)

Best Regards
